History of New Edition of Vintage Rugby Ball

As a passionate collector of sporting goods, the idea of reproducing vintage balls came to me after a chance meeting in a London pub with the grandson of John Woodbridge, an English sporting goods manufacturer enjoying its glory days in the 1930s, before disappearing at the end of the 1950s.

Drawing its inspiration from the "Woodbridge" manufacturing methods and knowhow, in collaboration with John Woodbridge Jr, a new limited edition of vintage rugby balls and footballs was produced in early 2004; via the websites www.collection-rugby.com and www.collection-football.com, you can buy these unique items, allowing the legend of sport's golden age to be relived.
